The heat transfer enhancement is one of the hot topics in the field of heat transfer area. The size of the electronic equipment and heat exchanges decreases by day while their ability increases. This forces researchers to find more innovative heat transfer methods for transferring. Both active and passive methods are studied by many researchers in different institutes. In this laboratory also, the innovative methods such as 3D Lattice metal frames and metal foams are studied to increase the heat transfer rate from a surface to a fluid. Thermal energy storage systems may also be hot topics due to many environmental problems in our century and limitations of conventional energy sources. Solid-liquid thermal energy storage systems as well as heat absorption systems are two serious options for the storage of thermal energy. These days, they are used in practice, however still some difficulties in these systems needs appropriate solution. In this laboratory, the researches are done both numerically and experimentally by PhD., Master and bachelor students under guidance of Prof. Dr. M. Mobedi. The laboratory has collaboration with different professors and their laboratory in different countries such as Izmir Institute of Technology, Izmir, Turkey, Izmir University of Economics, Izmir, Turkey , Cracow University of Technology, Cracow, Poland, Universita degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Italy Babes Bolyai University, Romania , etc |
