Accommodation and Access
There are no hotels quite near by Kyoto University. The Shijo-Kwaramachi area is convenient for visiting RIMS and has many hotels. City bus No.7 arrives at the nearest bus stop of RIMS. City bus No.7 runs on the Kawaramachi street, so hotels on the Kawaramachi street are also convenient for visiting RIMS.
To get to RIMS, City bus No.7 is convenient, see Access to RIMS (RIMS website). City bus is sometimes quite crowded. The other convenient way is by Keihan Electric Railway. It takes about 20 minutes walk from Demachiyanagi station, which is the terminal of Keihan Electric Railway, to RIMS.
