Lake Shinji at Matsue is famous for a tasty shellfish, Shijimi clam. There are a lot of dishes using this clam and Shijimi ramen noodle is one of it.

Matsue castle is build in 1611 and the main part is still keeping its original shape, meaning it is more than 400 years old
