Dear Colleagues,

A warm and cordial welcome to each and every one of you as we gather in anticipation of the International Conference on Green Science and Technology (ICGST-2023), scheduled for December 7th–8th, 2023, at the prestigious Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. It is an honor and a privilege to stand before such a distinguished gathering of scientists, researchers, and students who have come together under the overarching theme, “To Know Each Others for Green Science and Technology.”

ICGST-2023 is more than just a conference; it is a convergence of minds, a global dialogue that transcends borders and professional backgrounds. This event serves as a nexus, bringing together individuals from various countries and disciplines, all united by a common goal—to advance our collective understanding of green science and technology and, in doing so, contribute meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 2, 3, and 7.

As we stand at the precipice of a future that demands innovative solutions to global challenges, it becomes increasingly imperative for us to collaborate, share insights, and collectively address the critical issues outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals. Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, with its commitment to excellence, provides the perfect backdrop for this intellectual exchange, where ideas will flourish, knowledge will expand, and relationships will form.

Over the course of the next two days, ICGST-2023 promises a rich and diverse program, featuring the work of scientists, researchers, and students who are at the forefront of green science and technology. The interdisciplinary nature of this conference reflects our collective commitment to fostering a holistic understanding of the challenges we face and the solutions we can collectively develop.
