CONFERENCE REPORT

ICGST2023 Successfully Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

International Conference on Green Science and Technology 2023(ICGST2023) was successfully held from December 7th to 8th, 2023, welcoming 68 participants. Hosted in Kuala Lumpur, a city known for its remarkable development as an international hub, the symposium was conducted in a hybrid format, combining both online and on-site participation.

The symposium featured invited lectures and poster presentations by researchers aiming to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) (Program-ICGST2023.pdf ). Under the theme “To Know Each Other for Green Science and Technology,” the event facilitated meaningful knowledge exchange among participants.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, presenters, and support staff, with special thanks to the UTM organizing committee, especially to Professor Hesham and Dr. Daniel, for their outstanding management and dedication.

Building on the success of ICGST2023, we aim for further development in future events and symposiums. The next ICGST is scheduled to take place in India in 2025.

Invitation

To Know Each Other for Green Science and Technology

Dear Colleagues,

A warm and cordial welcome to each and every one of you as we gather in anticipation of the International Conference on Green Science and Technology (ICGST-2023), scheduled for December 7th–8th, 2023, at the prestigious Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. It is an honor and a privilege to stand before such a distinguished gathering of scientists, researchers, and students who have come together under the overarching theme, “To Know Each Others for Green Science and Technology.”

ICGST-2023 is more than just a conference; it is a convergence of minds, a global dialogue that transcends borders and professional backgrounds. This event serves as a nexus, bringing together individuals from various countries and disciplines, all united by a common goal—to advance our collective understanding of green science and technology and, in doing so, contribute meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 2, 3, and 7.

As we stand at the precipice of a future that demands innovative solutions to global challenges, it becomes increasingly imperative for us to collaborate, share insights, and collectively address the critical issues outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals. Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, with its commitment to excellence, provides the perfect backdrop for this intellectual exchange, where ideas will flourish, knowledge will expand, and relationships will form.

Over the course of the next two days, ICGST-2023 promises a rich and diverse program, featuring the work of scientists, researchers, and students who are at the forefront of green science and technology. The interdisciplinary nature of this conference reflects our collective commitment to fostering a holistic understanding of the challenges we face and the solutions we can collectively develop.

I encourage each of you to actively participate in the discussions, engage with your peers, and leverage this unique opportunity to broaden your perspectives. The success of ICGST-2023 rests on your active involvement, your willingness to share your expertise, and your commitment to advancing knowledge in the pursuit of sustainable development.

A heartfelt thank to the organizing committee, sponsors, and all those who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this conference a reality. Your dedication is the driving force behind this gathering, and we are grateful for your efforts.

As we embark on this intellectual journey, let us embrace the spirit of collaboration, fostering connections that will endure beyond these two days. May ICGST-2023 be a catalyst for meaningful discussions, fruitful collaborations, and a shared commitment to creating a more sustainable and equitable world.

Thank you, and we are all honored to welcome you all here in ICGST 2023.

Sincerely,

Hesham El Enshasy, Chairperson of Steering committee.
