Conference Report

ICGST2023 Successfully Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

International Conference on Green Science and Technology 2023(ICGST2023) was successfully held from December 7th to 8th, 2023, welcoming 68 participants. Hosted in Kuala Lumpur, a city known for its remarkable development as an international hub, the symposium was conducted in a hybrid format, combining both online and on-site participation.

The symposium featured invited lectures and poster presentations by researchers aiming to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) (Program-ICGST2023.pdf ). Under the theme “To Know Each Other for Green Science and Technology,” the event facilitated meaningful knowledge exchange among participants.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, presenters, and support staff, with special thanks to the UTM organizing committee, especially to Professor Hesham and Dr. Daniel, for their outstanding management and dedication.

Building on the success of ICGST2023, we aim for further development in future events and symposiums. The next ICGST is scheduled to take place in India in 2025.

Invitation

To Know Each Other for Green Science and Technology

Dear Colleagues,

Global climatic changes and worldwide deterioration of the environment threatens our life style and the survival of all creatures.

Our Research Institute promotes basic research and technological development regarding green science and technology to solve today’s global problems.

First, we develop technologies that enhance the severe-stress tolerance of plants and then establish the system that validates the technologies’ efficiency.
This includes functional analysis of stress proteins, ecological assessment of stress-tolerant plants, and stress management technologies.
Second, to realize well-being, we have screened various bioactive compounds from nature and identified their biological functions.
These bioactive compounds are utilized for the realization of life-secure and food security.
We have also researched a rapid infectious disease detection system, vaccine development, and peptide drug discovery to achieve a higher quality of life.
Third, we have developed innovative physicochemical processes for new green energy and green utilization of conventional energy with multidisciplinary cooperation.

This research is deeply linked to Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero hunger), 3 (Good health & well-being), and 7 (Affordable and clean energy).

Here, we would like to corporate internationally to cope with these SDGs 2, 3, and 7 with Universities in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan.
To starting point, we would like to hold the 2nd International Conference of Green Science and Technology, 2023(ICGST-2023).
We invited the following Universities as a co-organizer.

From India, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.

From Indonesia, University Gadjah Mada

From Malaysia, University Putra Malaysia

The international conference will be scheduled for December 7th–8th, 2023, at University Technical Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.

The objective of ICGST-2023 is to provide the 1st conference for discussion of the latest developments, refresh your knowledge, and will offer plenty of networking opportunities, providing you a chance to meet and interact with leading researchers as well as the most influential minds in the field of SDGs 2, 3, and 7.

ICGST-2023 will bring together, from a global perspective, scientists, researchers, and students from several countries and professional backgrounds to exchange ideas, advance knowledge and discuss critical issues for SDGs 2, 3, and 7.
We invite you to attend an exciting scientific program comprising 4 plenary and 12 invited talks, 30 poster presentations, and networking events.

We offer all the details you need about upcoming events interested in taking part in!

We will be happy your joining this ICGST2023.

Sincerely,

Hesham El Enshasy, Chairperson of Steering committee.
