樹木や森林に生きる微生物は私たちにとって有用な化学物質を生産します。これらの化学物質は生物の共存にも関わっています。森林生物化学研究室ではこれらの物質の同定と生合成機構の解明に取り組んでいます。さらに森林から得られる化学物質を有用材料へ変換することにも挑戦しています。
The chemical substances produced by trees and microorganisms living in the forest are precious and are useful for us. Also, these substances are involved in the symbiosis of organisms. We are studying on the identification of these substances and the elucidation their biosynthesis. Furthermore, we perform the attempt to convert chemicals produced in the forest into useful materials.
