In order to strengthen the authentication of Microsoft 365 at the University, ‘two-factor authentication’ has been implemented.
Two-Factor Authentication is a system that strengthens personal authentication by confirming sign-in not only with one factor (ID and password), but also with the individual’s mobile device as a second factor.
This allows the user to reject sign-in from others even if their ID and password are compromised, thereby protecting the user’s own data and the university’s information assets.
The implementation of two-factor authentication for all members of the University will greatly improve the information security effectiveness of the entire University organisation.
When using Microsoft 365 over an off-campus network, such as your home,
Following the entry of your address and password, you will be asked for two-factor authentication.
Two-factor authentication is not required when using the campus network.
