The Local Organizing Committee of the Inter-Academia at Shizuoka University strongly condemns the recent military incursion into Ukraine by the Russian Federation and aligns itself with our University President’s statement (link). The escalation of conflict, and its dire repercussions on the civilian population, saddens us deeply. It is our fervent hope that a resolution will soon be reached to restore Ukraine to its peaceful and sovereign state. In this spirit, we invite all participants in this year’s Inter-Academia conference to embrace and respect these principles of peace and cooperation.
