18th Annual Meeting of Molecular Science was held on September 18-21 at Kyoto University. Prof. Matsumoto and Mr. Hayano (M2) gave oral presentations “Effect on the pi electrons on an achiral aromatic molecule on chirality recognition of propylene oxide” and “Study on hydrogen-bonded structures of propargyl alcohol clusters: diversity due to pi electron”, respectively. In addition, Mr. Oyaide, Mr. Furukawa, and Ms. Nishimura gave poster presentation “Development of the optical cavity for observation of gas-phase vibrational polaritons”, “Development of the gas cell for observation of gas-phase vibrational polaritons”, and “Chiral recognition of 2,5,-dimethylpyrrole-propylene oxide clusters by IR spectroscopy”, respectively.
