Research presentation

The research presentation in the Department of Chemistry was held on Feb. 27-28. Four students in our laboratory, Mr. Miyashita, Ms. Hara, Mr. Hayashi, and Mr. Fukui, gave their presentations of “Cavity transmission for polaritonic chemistry”, “Chirality recognition of molecular dimer”, “IR spectroscopy of dihydrogen-bonded clusters”, and “Dependence of dihydrogen bond strength on its angle”, respectively. We were pleased to enjoy nice presentations.

39th Symposium on Chemical Kinetics and Dynamics

We organized the 39th Symposium on Chemical Kinetics and Dynamics, which was held on Shizuoka City Culture Hall (Chairperson of the Committee was Prof. Shinnosuke Kawai). In this symposium, Mr. Oyaide (M2), Hayano (M2), and Furukawa (M2) gave poster presentations “Development of the optical cavity for observation of gas-phase vibrational polaritons”, “Study on hydrogen bonds of propargyl alcohol clusters by IR spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations”, and “Development of the gas cell for observation of gas-phase vibrational polaritons”, respectively.

Research presentation by undergraduate students

Three undergraduate students in our laboratory, Mr. Eiyu Mitsukawa, Ms. Haruka Nishimura, and Mr. Shintaro Koakutsu, had a research presentation for the Department of Chemistry. Their talk titles are “Simulation study on controlling optical cavity for vibrational strong coupling”, “Structural analysis of 2,5-dimethylpyrrole – water clusters by IR spectroscopy”, and “Structural analysis of 2,5-dimethylpyrrole – propylene oxide clusters by IR spectroscopy” by EM, HN, and SK, respectively.
