On December 3-4, the 9th International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE2024) was held at Act City Hamamatsu Congress Center, gathering students and researchers from Shizuoka University, Institute of Science Tokyo, Hiroshima University, as well as project collaborators from all over the World. With a main focus on engineering applications dedicated to medicine, the symposium introduced various approaches in research and worked as a good chance for broad networking in an interdisciplinary environment.
From our group, Daris Alfafa (D2) made a poster presentation on behalf of our collaboration with the University of Indonesia, as indicated below:
D. Alfafa, B. A. Rianto, A. Udhiarto, and D. Moraru
“Nanoscale Silicon-on-Insulator Tunnel pn-Junctions for Photo-Sensitive Applications”
This works as a new report on how to utilize our nanoscale pn diodes for sensing light.
We also had the pleasure to have Prof. Emeritus Liviu Leontie visiting us through a collaboration project from the Faculty of Physics, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Romania. Beyond separate discussions on a variety of research topics, we were able to interact during the ISBE events with researchers and students from our network, sharing new ideas to enhance mobilities in the future. Many thanks for the visit!
