For a couple of days, we had the privilege to have at Shizuoka University and in Hamamatsu many guests from Latvia, including H.E. Ambassador of Latvia to Japan, Mr. Zigmārs Zilgalvis and Counsellor Andžejs Kaševskis, who were accompanied by Dr. Pavels Onufrijevs and Dr. Anna Sedova (Riga Technical University). They had nice interactions with the President of Shizuoka University and other key persons at both Shizuoka Campus and Hamamatsu Campus.

On the same timing, the Erasmus+ mobilities just started with a group of researchers from RTU visiting Shizuoka University, so there were many opportunities to discuss enhanced interactions between our Universities in the future, while visiting labs and museums, with the support of Shizuoka University Office for International Collaboration (SUOIC). There were also opportunities to interact with representatives of Hamamatsu industry at Yamaha Co. Headquarters and JETRO Hamamatsu Office. Many thanks to all for the warm welcome.

It can be expected that these interactions bring Latvian partners closer to Shizuoka University and Hamamatsu, in education, research, culture, and industry. Looking forward to the next developments!
