Daniel Moraru attended on February 17th, 2026, the last regular Strategy Meeting and Board of Directors Meeting of Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) at the JSAP Headquarters, as the Executive Director for the D&I・International Relations Committee.

Such meetings have taken place once or twice per months for the 2-year tenure as a Director (理事), amounting to about 25 or more opportunities of interactions, exchanges and insights within this extraordinary group of researchers, engineers, professors dedicated to the JSAP community and activities.
It was an honor to be considered for such a position and to witness and contribute from inside the system to the impactful activities of this society with approximately 20000 active members. There are still some events coming up related to this position, but this is a good time to express gratitude to all the colleagues on the JSAP Board of Directors and all the staff supporting the entire system and in particular the newly merged D&I・International Relations Committee.
Our group will continue to contribute to JSAP Meetings happening twice a year and to many of its activities and committees. Daniel Moraru will also continue to represent JSAP as a representative in the Council of the Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies (AAPPS) for the next 3 years.
