We had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Andrea Pulici in our lab at Research Institute of Electronics, for a 4-month stay supported by an Erasmus+ fund from University of Milano-Bicocca. We had met last year for a collaboration project at the National Research Center (CNR) in Agrate Brianza, near Milano, together with his main collaborator there, Dr. Michele Perego, and found a wide range of topics of common interest. The interactions and discussions converted into these several months of collaborative work by measurements and analyses of our silicon-on-insulator nanodevices.

We appreciate the efforts in research and the interactions within our lab, the presentations in events and conferences, including at the IEEE Silicon Nanoelectronics Workshop and Monday Morning Forum (long-lasting Monday research-discussion seminar at our University).

Good progress was obtained through many discussions at seminars and separately, as seeds for future projects. We wish you a nice trip back home and all the best for the last segment of the PhD research after returning back home. We hope that the positive impressions from Shizuoka University and many travels in Hamamatsu and across Japan can be transferred to future candidates for such short-stay programs.

We are looking forward to the next developments from this Erasmus+ program and our collaboration for these past few months! Many thanks to everyone who supported this exchange and to Erasmus+ program for providing such a global platform.
