During the period 11–15 May, 2026, an Erasmus Plus Teaching Mobility was carried out by Prof. Daniel Moraru at the Faculty of Physics, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (UAIC).
Meaningful interactions took place with many members of the talented team of the Faculty of Physics, with the program coordinated by Prof. Ionuț Topală (Dean of the Faculty of Physics). Beyond the multiple occasions to exchange ideas and discuss projects with colleagues, it was also possible to deliver a talk for Master students studying Solid State Physics with Prof. Cristian Baban and to deliver a broader, promotional lecture in front of many participants from the Faculty of Physics.

A kind invitation was received from Dr. Vasile Tiron – Head of RAMTECH unit of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research (ICI), at the introduction of Dr. Marius Dobromir, to give an Invited Talk in front of colleagues of ICI and not only, during the European Week at UAIC. It was a good opportunity to learn more about the excellent research at ICI and look for possibilities of future collaborations. Many thanks for a broad participation, and for the kind words from Prof. Emeritus Dumitru Luca and Prof. Emeritus Liviu Leontie. Discussions with Prof. Felicia Iacomi on past and future conferences were also appreciated.

The timing for this mobility comes before the 23rd edition of the Inter-Academia Conference will be organized in early autumn in Iaşi, coordinated by Prof. Ionuț Topală, Prof. Claudiu Costin and their excellent team. This conference will certainly raise the international cooperation between SU and UAIC, along with their European partners.
Inter-Academia Conference

Let’s hope that such interaction can enhance the experience of the many Erasmus Plus student exchanges planned for this summer, a restart of the Double Degree Program (DDP) PhD collaboration, and insightful interactions during Inter-Academia 2026 and other upcoming networking conferences.

Many thanks to everyone who supported this activity, who made time to attend the events and who interacted during this stay in various ways. All these interactions will contribute, in one way or another, to adding new aspects and ideas to the partnership between our institutions.
