For about a week, an Erasmus Plus Teaching Mobility from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (UAIC), Iași, Romania offered us the opportunity to have with us Professor Emeritus Liviu Leontie, from the Faculty of Physics. 
As a former coordinator of the Erasmus Plus Program at the Faculty of Physics, he supported a number of exchanges over the years and now shared his experiences and insights with our students and our colleagues at Shizuoka University.
Thanks to such lectures on a broad range of topics – from presentations of UAIC, Faculty of Physics, Erasmus Plus technical details, and his scientific research work – the level of awareness and interest for UAIC and what it represents has been certainly increased for our students and staff.
We appreciate the visit and various interactions during the lectures, around the campus, and in the lab. We also thank everyone who attended the lectures and interacted during this week with Prof. Leontie, adding further value to this visit. 
Hopefully, many will use the information learned on this occasion to visit UAIC through Erasmus Plus exchanges or, after a few months only, for the 23rd edition of the Inter-Academia Conference, to be held at Iasi at the end of August – beginning of September.
As usual, we look forward to any such future interactions, which bring Iasi and Hamamatsu closer to each other.
