Purpose For contributing to greener information communication technology through integrated circuits design

Focus IoT, Internet-of-things, is becoming a key word in information communication technology. It is going to contribute to highly efficient agriculture and industry, a sustainable society, an aging society and so on. A key factor of integrated circuits for IoT is extremely low power because it is powered by energy collected from environment or by a small sized battery. Otherwise, the cost for replacing the battery would be the most in entire cost for the IoT sensor network. To significantly reduce power, we are focusing on the following three areas especially.
1. Extremely low power DC-DC/AC-DC power converters for energy harvesting
2.
Extremely low voltage analog and digital circuit design based on more-than-Moore switching devices

3. Low power sensing and control circuits for emerging non-volatile memory
