Daniel Moraru attended the 22nd International Conference on Global Research and Education (Inter-Academia 2025), organized in Budapest, Hungary. This was an excellent opportunity to interact again with many colleagues and collaborators from various institutions across more than 10 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, along with many professors, researchers and students from Shizuoka University.

In the spirit of its interdisciplinarity, the talks and posters at Inter-Academia 2025 spanned topics from nanoelectronics and nanomaterials to plasma physics and and biophysics, from laser-matter interactions to mechatronics and photonics, from informatics and machine learning to education-related topics. This important network can be maintained by such yearly interactions, as well as by various other projects that can be set up within this community. There are many more opportunities embedded in this network and, hopefully, future editions will further enhance these opportunities.

The presentations related to our group are given below:

D. Moraru, D.Alfafa, B. A. Rianto, I. Yano, T. Suzuki, A. Udhiarto, and M. Dobromir, “A statistical investigation of band-to-band tunneling characteristics in ultra-thin silicon pn diodes” (oral presentation)
C. Cobas Montero, V. Mizeikis, P. Onufrijevs, A. Zukuls, P. Ščajev, and D. Moraru, “Nanosecond Laser-Fabricated Metasurfaces on Silicon-on-Insulator Wafers for Tunable Optical Response” (poster presentation) – recognized by a Young Researcher Award of Inter-Academia 2025.

Looking forward to the next developments, new exchanges within this community and certainly to the next edition of the Inter-Academia Conference.
