The AAPPS has been founded more than 35 years ago as an umbrella organization of physical societies in the Asia Pacific region. It aims to promote the advancement of knowledge in physics in the region, including research, application and teaching, especially through international collaboration.
From the position of Executive Director of the D&I•International Relations Committee at JSAP, this AAPPS position for the next 3 years will continue to allow coordination of JSAP with representatives of 20+ national societies of applied physics from all over Asia and Oceania.

Many thanks to Prof. Qing Shen for her efforts as the previous Council member representing JSAP and to all who supported this nomination and selection for AAPPS.
