On March 17th, our group enjoyed another graduation ceremony that will become a new milestone for Moraru Lab, together with all graduating students of the Ha
mamatsu Campus of Shizuoka University. Two Bachelor/Undergraduate students (Morishita-san, Wakabayashi-san) and two Master students (Miyagawa-san, Suzuki-san) graduated successfully after very good research, building new ideas and research concepts in our lab.
Our undergraduate students created a very systematic and quite exhaustive analysis of our nano-devices, either by matching experiments and simulations on single-electron tunneling transistors (Morishita-san) or by clarifying the pn diode behavior of nanoscale pin diodes (Wakabayashi-san). Their work will certainly impact our next research on nano-devices.

Our Master students have actually been with our lab for more than 3 years, leaving a meaningful research output behind in two theses. One contributed to many international collaborations aiming for demonstrating single-photon detection mechanisms in codoped nano-transistors (Miyagawa-san). Another set the base for building hybrid devices with graphene nano-flakes on CMOS structures (Suzuki-san). Both research topics built up to good scientific contributions, opening two new lines of research in our lab.

Thanks to all, our international exposure was also increased, by their contributions to conferences, papers, support for foreign students from many countries and even by visiting other countries together on some business trips.

Let’s keep in touch for the future and all the best for the next stages in your careers! Congratulations!
お疲れ様です!おめでとうございます!
