Dr. Ioana-Cristina Gerber, Scientific Researcher from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (UAIC), Iasi, Romania has visited our campus at Shizuoka University for several days within a collaboration mobility.
Dr. Gerber also delivered a nice talk within a Scientific Seminar, for our students and colleagues, on the topic:
“Plasma Sources: Bridging Material Science, Life Sciences, and Laboratory Astrophysics”
This talk revealed a variety of intriguing applications of atmospheric-pressure plasma sources in a wide range of fields.
During her stay, we had chances to discuss various collaboration opportunities, to visit several lab on our campus, as well as the Takayanagi Memorial Hall, among others.
Her visit was supported by an International Collaboration Project from our Graduate School of Science and Technology, coordinated together with Prof. Ionuț Topală (Faculty of Physics) and Dr. Marius Dobromir (Institute for Interdisciplinary Research), both from UAIC. Hopefully, common ground can be found in the future with research topics carried out in our University, with support of various projects.
We look forward to future interactions!
