Thermoelectric device using Si nanostructures
We are investigating new-functional and high-performance devices using semiconductor nanostructures, such as quantum well, quantum wire and quantum dot. Recently, we are focusing on high-efficient thermoelectric devices for producing electric power from waste heat and the self-power generation biosensor which is aimed at medical applications.

The research titles are listed below.


(1)Achievement of high efficiency in the thermoelectric characteristics by Si nanostructures
(2)Establishment of measurement techniques for characterizing the nanomaterial thermoelectricity
(3)Creation of flexible thermoelectric materials and application to new functional devices
(4)Development of Si single-electron-refrigerator device
