The Inter-Academia Community expands the international collaboration of Shizuoka University in a network of many Universities and Research Institutions of Central and Eastern Europe. The conferences organized every year by different partner Universities become milestones of this collaboration, generating also many positive memories and ideas for new projects.

This was the case also this year, when Prof. Annamária Várkonyi-Kóczy and her team organized it once again in Hungary, mainly in Budapest, at Mercure Hotel, but also at a partner University, in the period Sept. 15-19, 2025. In the spirit of its interdisciplinarity, the talks and posters at Inter-Academia 2025 spanned topics from nanoelectronics and nanomaterials to plasma physics and and biophysics, from laser-matter interactions to mechatronics and photonics, from informatics and machine learning to education-related topics. There was room for a lot of learning, for many interactions, and for setting up new projects for the future of this unique community.

On behalf of an international collaboration team, Daniel Moraru also delivered an oral talk as follows:
D. Moraru, D. Alfafa, B. A. Rianto, I. Yano, T. Suzuki, A. Udhiarto, and M. Dobromir
A statistical investigation of band-to-band tunneling characteristics in ultra-thin silicon pn diodes
It was good to get the feedback from partners from Europe and also gain insights from their presentations and from many discussions during the course of the conference.

After this successful event in Hungary, we are now looking forward also to the next event going back to Romania, under the organization of the Faculty of Physics, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (UAIC), Iasi, Romania. Welcome, on this occasion, to the Inter-Academia Community also to another esteemed institution from the same city, another partner of Shizuoka University, Iasi University of Life Sciences (IULS)!
