Daniel Moraru delivered a Plenary Talk on “Ultra-low-power Electronics: Controlling Electron Transport One by One in Silicon Nanoscale Transistors” at the 16th ISAJ Annual Symposium, Japan-India Symposium on Science and Technology, held in Shizuoka.

There were many interactions and positive messages from and for key persons in the community of Indian researchers in Japan, including the warm message from the new Ambassador of India to Japan. H.E. Ms. Nagma M. Mallick and other speeches about the history and vision of this community.

Many thanks to the organizing team, especially to Prof. Kedar Mahapatra from Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology, for the invitation. It was also an opportunity for our Asia Bridge Program (ABP) student, Ms. Titiksha Dixit, to present her first poster on our team’s work on codoped nano-transistors.
The contribution was:
Titiksha Dixit, Sachie Morishita, Momoka Kawasoe, and Daniel Moraru: “Single-electron tunneling in silicon-on-insulator highly-doped nanoscale transistors”
Congratulations for a nice effort and active discussions!

This symposium represented also a good chance to catch up with several colleagues and acquaintances in attendance or presenting, but in particular w
ith Dr. Taruna Teja Jupalli, a graduate of our lab and now with Osaka University.
Looking forward to the next actions that can further connect Japan and India on many science and research projects.
