Shizuoka University Health Care Center |
Our Mission
Welcome to the Health Service Center. We promote health and wellness at Shizuoka University by providing medical consultation and psychological care, and assisting the institution in health-related policy development. The staff in the Center will give consultation concerning students’ health.Students can use the Center to study about health care,in addition to receiving physical checkups and first-aid treatment. (The Center also has a branch on the Hamamatsu campus.)
Annual Physical Examination
The Health Service Center offers an annual physical examination every April, which is free of charge to all students of this university including overseas students.Without this physical examination,it is impossible for students to obtain the medical certificate needed to apply for a scholarship.Overseas students are therefore advised to take this physical examination in order to avoid additional expenses for examination by other medical institutions. It is expensive to obtain a medical certificate from a medical institution other than the university’s Health Service Center.
Shizuoka Campus
Those who enter Shizuoka University in April should take a physical examination after registering their Health Check Card. Those who enter in October will take the examination in April of the following year, but they should register their card by the end of the current October.
Hamamatsu Campus
In Hamamatsu Campus physical examinations will be held at Health Care Center Hamamatsu in April (for those who enter Shizuoka University in April) and in November (for those in October).
