    1951年 大代演習林(1051ha)を設定(使用承認のみ)
    1955年 上阿多古演習林(61ha)を設定 
    1957年 上阿多古の寄宿舎が完成
    1959年 引佐演習林(50ha)を設定(部分林契約)
    1964年 中川根演習林(260ha)を設定 (地上権設定契約)
    1969年 山犬段の寄宿舎が完成
    1976年 上阿多古の寄宿舎を新築移転
    1982年 中川根演習林事務所を設立
    1991年 上阿多古の別棟宿舎(新館)完成
    2002年 地域フィールド科学教育研究センターの設立(演習林はフィールドセンター森林生態系部門となり、各林の名称も上阿多古フィールド、中川根フィールドに変更)
    2005年 引佐演習林を返却
    2008年 富士フィールドを設定(静岡森林管理署との協力協定)
    2012年 文部科学省の教育関係共同利用拠点に認定(上阿多古フィールドと中川根フィールドの名称を、それぞれ天竜フィールド、南アルプス(中川根)フィールドに変更)
    2013年 南アルプスフィールド山犬段宿舎近くの町有林(4ha)を借入
    2014年 天竜森林管理署と協力協定を締結

  • History of the Fields
    1951 Oziro experimental forest (1051 ha) was established.
    1955 Kamiatago experimental forest (61 ha) was established.
    1957 Accommodations in Kamiatago (in the Tenryu field) were built.
    1959 Inasa experimental forest (50 ha) was established.
    1964 Nakakawane experimental forest (260 ha) was established.
    1969 Accommodations in Yamainudan (in the Southern Alps field) were built.
    1976 Accommodations in Kamiatago were relocated and newly built.
    1982 The office of Nakakawane experimental forest was established.
    1991 New accommodations in Kamiatago were built.
    2002 The center for education and research in field sciences was established. Experimental forests were reorganized as a forest ecosystem division of the center. Kamiatago and Nakakawane experimental forests were renamed as Kamiatago and Nakakawane fields, respectively.
    2005 Inasa experimental forest was terminated.
    2008 Fuji field was established (as a part of an academic partnership with the Shizuoka Forest Management Office of the Forestry Agency).
    2012 Authorization as an educational joint use center by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. Kamiatago and Nakakawane fields were renamed as Tenryu and Southern Alps fields, respectively.
    2013 Forests owned by Nakakawane-town (4 ha) near the Southern Alps field were leased.
    2014 A mutual use agreement with the Tenryu District Forest Office was concluded.
